For better or for worse, Matthew McConaughey won’t be running for governor of Texas after all. Recently, McConaughey had been seemingly flirting with the idea by mentioning in various interviews that he was thinking about running for office. He hadn’t yet announced an official campaign, though some fans were still wondering what’s been happening with this bid and if the True Detective star was still planning on giving it a shot.
